Class Rules & Etiquette

The practice of Tae Kwon Do is based in mutual respect between Students and Masters/Instructors; therefore, all Students are expected to follow these rules:

1. Master or Instructor shall be addressed by his/her title followed by his/her name.
2. Remove shoes before entering the training area (Tae Kwon Do shoes are allowed only if a medical condition requires it).
3. Do not interrupt during ceremony of opening or closing the class.
4. Students arriving early are asked to wait for their scheduled class time before entering training area.
5. During class, ask permission to leave or enter the training area.
6. Do not interrupt Master or Instructor when he/she is instructing. Please raise your hand and wait for Master or Instructor to address you.
7. No foul language, or derogatory comments or jokes will be permitted.
8. Come to class in neat, clean uniform. Belt must be worn at all times.
9. Remove jewelry that may interfere with training.
10. Sparring must be done under Master or Instructor supervision only.
